I searched on Google and was surprised that there were hardly any dive operators in Nassau Bahamas. As far as I can tell Stuart Cove is available BUT their dives don't line up with the hours the ship is in port. I sent them an e-mail asking about scheduling a private dive but I get the feeling it's going to be super expensive. I also looked around the message board and it seems like that is the case, that it's hard to dive if you are a passenger with a cruise line. The cruise ship does not have any dive excursions but even if they did, I would most likely stay away due to the "cattle call" mentality of cruise dives. Wanted to see if there are any other alternatives OR should I just forget about diving the Bahamas. Thanks.

forget about diving the Bahamas.
If Nassau is your only Bahama stop, it doesn't look good for diving. Haven't heard of anyone coming off cruise ship to dive, including me - logistics don't work. Opted for a land/water excursion and a walk in town visiting the Pirates of Nassau Museum - my wife and I both enjoyed that.

Honestly I don’t think the diving there is worth spending alot of money or jumping through hoops for.
