Diving suggestions in Kwa-Zulu Natal?

I'll be in South Africa for 2 weeks in December and I'm trying to decide if I should go to Sodwana Bay or Aliwal Shoal..... can anyone share their experiences? Anyone have suggestions for dive ops at either place? Guide book suggestions?

If you're going in December I'd rather go to Sodwana Bay as Aliwal is pretty busy over the holiday season (half of South Africa migrates to the South Coast for their xmas holdays).

In Sodwana try www.Coraldivers.co.za and in Umkomaas (Aliwal Shoal) try www.seafever.co.za

Sea Fever for Aliwal Shoal and
http://www.africanodyssea.co.za/ at Protea Banks which is worth at least one dive if you can make it to Shelley Beach. Must have seen about 30 sharks on my dive there.

hi ,most of sputh coast is good. All of the coast will be busy for that time of year. In aliwal , you can try Sea forever. Gary and his wife are great. www.seaforever.co.za
In Sodwana we mostly us triton dive centre.
