Anyone know of a study that shows how many men compared to women get scuba certafied? what about men to women that take aow? specialties? rescue? md? dm? instructors?

men to women:
cold water divers to warm water divers?
buy their equipment or rent?
tec diving or stay rec?
coldwater: dry suit or wetsuit?

No, but I was once an administrator for an online diving forum, in some ways similar to this one. I tracked our membership, which ran approximately 65 - 70% male.

What I was told when I took OW (and I assume these are PADI numbers) is that 80% of divers are male.

can we throw a guestamite of scuba related deaths in there too.

I know there has been 563 deaths in underwater caves since 1960
