We are going to St. Maarten June 25th. We want to dive Saba, and have our hearts set on diving the "famous pinnacles". We are having a problem finding a dive operation that will dive that site after we arrive via the ferry. We don't want to fly over there and the ferry does not get there untill 10:00. I guess most dive places go to this site first, because of its depth. I hoping to find an dive op that would go later. I would think there are other divers in ST. Maarten finding the same problem. So if anyone has any info on this it would be great.!
Thanks Lynne

I was in Sint Maarten last June and dove Saba. The best way is to take the plane over and back. It is significantly shorter, smoother and when I went about the same price. The plane stays below 2,000' so there was no problem. When you take the plane you arrive early enought to make the first dive at the pinnacles. I dove with Saba Deep they did a good job and Big Mike was a character and made the dives enjoyable.

If you are looking for a good steak restaurant on the Dutch side we enjoyed the Peg Leg Pub. Enjoy your trip. Where are you staying? We stayed at tehOyster Bay and The Atrium, while my parents stayed at the Divi Little bay and The Royal Palm Hotel. All were very nice.

Chech out seasaba.com Nice operation. Fly is better than Ferry and there are many options for lodging. Seasaba will help you out.
