Hi all, I was just looking over info on Saba dive resorts/accomodations/operators and noticed that Saba divers/scouts hotel packages are considerably cheaper than the other resorts/operator combos...

Does anybody have input to this? Any personal experience with this dive operator?

I'd love to hear it! I'm not planning a trip yet, just looking into Saba as a potential future dive trip... (boy, I'm bad... :eyebrow: havn't even been on my november Roatan trip yet and am already looking at future possibilities!:shakehead :shakehead if my girlfriend found out...:no :no )

Thanks for your input everybody!

What up, CODMAN? Not happy with NewDiver anymore? ; )

Yes, I've been to Saba a number of times & have stayed at Scout's Place and dived with Saba Divers. Scout's is quite basic, but fully serviceable; Saba Divers does a fine job (http://www.sabadivers.com/). Package is a good deal as same company owns both.

El Momo (http://www.elmomo.com/index_en.html) is another basic, inexpensive place to stay with some great views.

For a few more bucks, Juliana's (http://www.julianas-hotel.com/english/index_en.htm) is much nicer and a good value. They have packages with SeaSaba, a super op.

Hi Doc,
well lets just say there are some things newdiver doesn't have...:D :D But it's still a personal favorite and had I know you had been to that specific dive resort/shop in Saba, I would have posted it there!;)

I was reading up on Saba last night, and it's giving me the urge!!! It really seems to my liking: not too expensive, not too commercial, beautifull scenery, good diving, the occasion to see big and little critters (yeah, I'm still on my newdiver buzz of seing biggies like sharks and stuff:D )... My only concern is that a lot of the diving seems to be quite deep (100+ feet) and my girlfriend doesn't like that much since she is affraid of going Narco... Which is a legitimate concern... I know they have shallower diving, but the good sites I read about all seem to be deep...

Thanks for the extra links! I'm going to check them out too...

See ya on newdiver (and here I guess!:14: )
