I'm going camping at Point Mugu next month. We are staying at the beach on the Naval base. Is there any good shore dives there? Worth bringing my gear with me?

Are you kidding?? Not sure if you just posted this...? But Pt Mugu.. just so happens to be an awesome dive. Can be gnarly, or nice. Whatever...if you need 100s of input have fun. Take hardcorediveteam.com dive reports at some serious business!! Heck ya!! Bring the dive gear!!!

Hey Jeff, I was stationed there from 78-81 and have never heard anything about the diving. I live locally and the closest good diving I know of is Deer Creek a few miles south of Mugu. Check out my youtube videos @ watchmanjc.

The kelps are outrageously thick around Point Mugu area. Would be a great spot for kayak diving.
