I was in Guanica, Puerto Rico a few months ago.

Guanica is on the southern coast of Puerto Rico and the diving was surprisingly good.

I may be flying into Ponce in a few weeks and don't want to drive the 45 minutes to Guanica. I know there are 1 or 2 dive shops off Ponce itself and was wondering if anyone has any comments about diving right off Ponce.

Any comments will be appreciated.

Thanks,

Sy

Hi,

Enjoy your Jet Blue Flight...

I'll be watching this thread as I wonder this myself. I understand there is a shallow site just off Ponce but I dont know anything about it... Coffens I think it is called... an Island that is suposed to look like a coffen.

I can tell you that a great dive is available in Parguera... the Parguera Wall. Contact Parguera Divers. Angel is the owner/captain. A great trip and a great boat.

If you have time and a very early morning... about an hour and a half... you could always come up to Rincon and head out to Desecheo... for that trip contact Taino Divers. (Yes... I drive the Taino boat).
