Diving Near Panama City July 12-16?

I will be in the Panama City area July 12th-16th. Anyone in the area looking to make some gulf dives?

Also, is there any problem with diving directly off the beach as long as you have a flag?

The jetties are a good beach dive but you need to time the tides

You can dive off the beach but there is nothing there but an endless sand desert. N

Yeah, I know there's nothing to really see, but I thought I might do a little metal detecting out there and maybe scooter around a bit. I have done very little shore diving in salt water.
