Hello to all of you divers!! By now you may have heard of this new developing town called Mahahual. It is the southern end of the Caribbean of Mexico. If you have not been here, just look hard to find those people that have. This place is a divers paradise. You may be familiar with Cozumel by now and seen the over development that is taking place. If you are tired of coming up and wondering which boat is yours or looking at others fins while you're underwater; then this is the place for you. You will be almost guaranteed to be the only dive boat or divers at a dive site. This is unless you happen to see the divers from the conservation/research group helping to monitor this precious jewel that is here. There is an excellent PADI dive centre called Blue Ha right in the middle of town and if you need to find out more information, you can contact Tanya or Jono who are Australians at dreamtimetanya@hotmail.com They have come from the Great Barrier Reef to see the magic of this Meso-American Barrier Reef and start an eco-friendly solar and wind powered dive shop. Any questions you may have about places to stay or other activities to do while in the area, they will be more than happy to assist. You never know, the hubbies may want to go look at the ruins while the ladies dive. This is one dive location you do not want to miss. Happy diving!!
