Hello, new to diving and wanted to subscribe to a mag or two about diving. Ayone got some opinions?
Was looking for something that would have a combo of dive spot reviews, gear reviews, technical/instructional articles?

If you are PADI certified you'll probably want to subscribe to Sport Diver, since it is thier official publication. I get that and Scuba Diving magizine as well so I don't miss anything. I find both to be good sources of info. I also pick up a Wreck Diving mag on occasion, since I have a strong interest in coastal wreck diving.

I like Scuba Diving and Advanced Diver Magazine. Also, Ocean Realm is quite good. I also get Sport Diver, but it seems like every time I finish reading it, I think "wow, that was completely worthless". You may like it better, I just don't like their articles, or how often everything in it is selling another PADI specialty.

I get Sport Diver & Scuba Diving mags & they have their spot for pretty pictures to different locations & have a few articles I read, Advance Diver Mag is good, but heavily into re-breathers, not that there's anything wrong with that, but the 1 mag I get & typically read cover to cover is Wreck Diving Magazine.Welcome to Wreck Diving Magazine Online

I get scuba diver and advanced diver magazine. I'm happy with both of those. Although for you starting out ADM might not be for you. It is all about advanced dives most past 150 ft. and rebreathers. pick up a copy of scuba diving and sport diver from your local book store and make up your own mind.

As a new diver any of the magazines will keep you enthralled for the next year. After that, all the topics will start to repeat for the most part and then you will come here to Scuba Board for your dry time. That said, I like Dive Training Magazine. You can usually get a free copy or two from a LDS. Welcome to diving and congrats! Also, welcome to Scuba Board!!:D

i get sport diver and dive training.like was said earlier,go to your local book store and buy several and make up your own mind.

Dive Training (usually available for free at your LDS, just look for a stack by the door) is an excellent magazine for us newbies (and our instructors). Each issue has an illustrated review of some basic scuba skill, an article about safety, a travel article, an article about instruction, etc.

Go for the free copies of Dive Training, they are definitely worth what you are paying for them.
