There really is some fantastic diving just a few minutes from the dock at Brentwood Bay -- and although pricey, the hotel there is jaw-droppingly beautiful, and has a great restaurant, too. We had a really good time when we did one of cooldives deals and spent a weekend up there. Good luck to you! (I notice you're smart enough not to offer routine winter diving . . . we had fun for a couple of hours, chopping ice to get the boat out of the dock!)
