I'm going to Vegas around Christmastime.... I heard that Lake Mead is no longer open to divers for security reasons.

Anyone know of any diving out in the area?

...Try Drew's Dam Divers, the diving is located on the Arizona side of Hoover dam

Trust me, it's good diving.

Good timing on your question. I just dove in Lake Mead on Saturday, Oct. 5th. I booked my boat dives through International Scuba in Henderson, NV. The shop is only about a 10 minute drive from the Lake Mead Marina. Their website is www.scubatrips.com Hope you see more than I did in the lake, did see a few wrecks, not more than a dozen fish over 2 dives. But hey, it sure beat losing money at the blackjack table.

Never did dive Lake Meade, but the Colorado River on the opposite side of the dam is the place to go.
