Title says it all. I'm traveling to Baltimore for a couple of months on business and wanted to see what the diving was like. Are there shore diving places? What are some good relaxing dives, charters in the area for boat dives And of course where to rent tanks and lead at?

Thank you in advance for any insights.

Not much around. Oc dive boat out of ocean city is about it. There is a new wreck - the Radford - recently scuttled.

Here is a good page by a dive shop showing local sites. None of them are in Baltimore though. It's either Ocean City for Salt water or Quarries for fresh.

As for shops closer to Baltimore:
Aqua Ventures is a short trip to the burbs and Mike there is great.

Divers Den has been around forever and they are knowledgeable and friendly.
Divers Den, Maryland's First Dive Store, Scuba Diving Classes and Equipment
A little further South is Columbia Scuba. Kinda hard to find for a visitor but they service a wide range of gear if you can't find someone closer. They are also friendly.
