I will traveling to Singapore in the middle of August. Where would be the best place to dive at. I will be willing to take a ferry to the dive site, but they must be 1 day dive trips and I am not interested in flying somewhere else for my diving. Thank you in advance for the help.

For weekend trips, try the White Manta liveaboard (Welcome to Whitemanta.com).

As for one day dives, it is apparently possible somewhere like Pulau Huntu (?) - perhaps someone else can chip in with details and/or recommend a dive shop that takes divers there.

I think it's Pulau Hantu, just off Singapore's Yacht club. Visibility sucks, but there are some seahorses. Normally they only do that in the off-season Nov - March.

Check with Equatordive.sg. And better do the Friday night - Sunday night weekend trip!!!

I personally use both Waikiki and Whitemanta several times per year. Both are good with good service, fair pricing (my view) and pleasant personality of people that they attract. They all go to the sames places but there there differently. Whitemanta as a liveaboard is not for everyone and Waikiki (with trips to spots in Malaysia that are like budget locations) have a charm that i can not find in my usualy business travels in the Asia region. good luck.
