Hi all-
Heading to Italy later this week, mostly above land, pleasure trip. Flying into Rome, staying there 4 days, then taking train to Foggia, renting car and heading down Puglia coast to Lecce, then train back to Rome for flight home. Is it worth trying to dive? We are mostly used to Cozumel diving - not super experienced divers ~80ft max depth - PADI OWC cert. I read on another thread here the Adriatic doesn't have great vis. Is it any better on the western side of the heel near Galipoli or Taranto? If we get some dives in it is a bonus, but if not we won't be crushed. Also a little concerned about communication if we don't get a shop that speaks fluent English. May just snorkel if so.
Any input welcome.
Thanks!
