Welcome!
You are so lucky to choose Mike Ball in December. You've timed it perfectly. I went in December of 2003 with MB on the Paradise Sport in Milne Bay. The boat had 10 out of 18 possible divers. Everything was perfect. We had more divemasters than passengers! You will love the variety diving. I found the night muck diving to be quite relaxing and filled with fantastic things to see. After 90 minutes each evening, I finally had to call it quits since my back was beginning to hurt from being inverted. Tassled Wobbegong, mandarin Fish and the Nautilus were my favorites to see. A pristine Blackjack B-17 bomber (machine gun turret fully movable) and some amazing land excursion like Dei Dei hot springs are eye openers. the children will all pile onto the boat (we had 25 come in a tiny boat) to give us an evening sing-sing. It made the hardest of hearts melt. If you have room in your luggage, bring additional medium and small t-shirts to give to the locals. I can still hear them singing "Roll ober de ocean, roll ober da seee, roll ober da mountains and da deep blue sea."....

any one out there have any good ideas for diving in PNG in December...am thinking of the MIke Ball Boat Paradise Sport and that would be diving Milne Bay:06: http://www.scubaboard.com/images/smilies/Standard Smiles/06.gif

I just came from my LDS who told me that Mike Ball was pulling his operation out of png. Maybe this is rumor, but I don't think so. LDS says they wanted to try and book a trip to PNG with Mike BAll and this is the answer they received.
