Hi everybody

I´m in South America and want to do some diving. I´ve heard (or read in here) that Punta Sal should be the best place to dive in Peru but I can´t find any websites with diverschools and PADI´s webpage says that there isn´t any dive shops in Peru at all.

Can anyone help me with a webpage or email to a diverschool, because we need to ask if they have any courses in english because our spanish is very bad?

Thanks!

Jonas

Well if there isn´t anybody who knows any webpages or emails, does anybody then know if we can just go to Trujillo and find a PADI diversschool that has courses in english or is Peru just impossible to dive in?

Jonas

Contact Perudivers, the only PADI school in Lima, Aquasport ( CMAS cetification), not sure you can learn quickly (1 or 2 months maybe) , if your are not yet certified. The sea conditions have been tought lately.

no dive shop in Punta Sal.

I lived in Peru for 13+ years and they are the only dive shop that I know in the whole country.... I would get my tanks filled there and pretty much only dived with some military friends a few times a year. Water is COLD and the currents are strong. Plus the boats have no Idea what a dive flag is....... and or could care less........ Good luck...... it will be an adventure...

PS: Better brush up on your spanish because I do not think they teach in english. I spoke spanish so it was never an issue...... If you want to get certified I would recommend coming to warm waters that have english instructors........ Just my 2 cents..

Peru Divers responded quickly to my email regarding diving around Lima.
