We're in Bonaire now diving with some friends. I didn't realize how windy the month of June could be. .I was reading that November has less wind ( more heat & bugs I'm sure) Just wondering if anyone has noticed the if the swell action at the shoreline is calmer with the lower winds at that time of year. Some of the divers in our group are older and are very skittish about the shore entries. Trying to find a month with calmer seas. Any suggestions?

I had an unbelievable late October trip there in 2014. Calm, minimal current, great vis.

But then predicting the weather...
Well, you know what I mean.

We have also dove Bonaire in October and typically encountered more or less the same conditions described by rsingler....September or October....typically fewer cruise ships and decent diving conditions....

We've never dove Bonaire in November......its my understanding the rains and, consequently bugs, start to increase in the November - December time frame....maybe somebody with more November expirience could confirm or deny?

My experience is useless because I have ONLY visited Bonaire in November (perhaps once in late October or early December), so I have nothing to compare it with. I do recall a number of rainy days, waiting around in the condo to see if it would let up. Then again, I don't know how less rainy it is in the summer. I don't recall thinking anything about wind.

I've been to Bonaire Nov, Feb, June, July.

Would not go back in November as we had rain both trips. One week was continuous, the wind was from the west, surprisingly, and the run off precluded almost all diving because of lack of visibility. Weather has been quite good all other months there.
