Diving in March - reservations or freeform?

We are diving during March 10 - April 1. So far, we have planned the first week or so (Anilao and PG), but don't have anything reserved after that.

Is it possible to just travel around to various dive locations in the Visayas whenever we feel like it - OR - will it be crowded and do we need to lock in firm dates and make reservations in advance?

We would prefer to just go where we feel like going, but, don't want to hassle full boats and lack of accomodations if this is going to be a problem.

Please provide your opinion.

summer vacation usually starts late march so it may be a bit harder to get bookings during that time. airlines also offer cheaper rates if you book early. i believe cebu pacific still has an ongoing seat sale for flights up to march 31. check out cebupacificair.com
