Scuba Diving

Enjoy the unique experience of scuba in the home of the sponge divers - among the best divers in the world! On our island, diving traditions go back at least two thousand years.

Kalymnos has the largest scuba diving area in Greece - a 12km coastline full of flora, fish, caves, walls, reefs, shipwrecks and a volcano! All these in crystal clear warm water full of non-commercial species.

Explore from either a fully-equipped diving boat or the dive centre in Vlychadia. There is a great variety of sites for beginners or the experienced - and Kalymnos Hospital has its own decompression chamber.

The Greek Government has decided to establish underwater parks especially for scuba diving. Fishing will be prohibited to allow the population of all sorts of fish to grow.

The first diving park in Greece is going to be established on the island of Kalymnos.

You can dive were ever you like maybe a little bit outlaw but the best places are in restricted areas.The law has been changed and in the next year a lot of dive organisations and dive sites in Greece will open dont forget that there a few hundred wrecks in depths of 50m and top 100m and if you can do 3-5 dives in every ship then you have a lifetime for dives so good dives :14:
