Diving in Eilat

Great info. We'll be in eilat May 21-25 and are really looking forward to it. I haven't been in Eilat for 15 years.

Do you know if DAN insurance works in Israel or do we have to buy local compulsory?
Also, we are staying in one of the downtown hotels. Is it worth renting a car to go to aquasports or cab it or rely on their shuttle service. It seems like it's a schlep and it stops all over.

Anything you recommend/don't recommend?

A taxi from downtown to Aqua Sport will run you about 20-30 NIS each way. So I don't think it would be worth it the rent a car. As for their shuttle, I think it just depends on how busy they are on the days when you are there.

I think DAN is good, but I am not 100% certain.
