Diving in Dar es Salaam

Hi Everybody!

I will be traveling to Tanzania at the end of May to the beginning of June and would like to get some diving in on the tail end of the trip. I am flying out of Dar es Salaam and will be staying there for a few days. All of the information I can find says that the diving isn't that great there especially this time of year. Yet all of the information I have found is several years old. Has anybody done any diving in the area? I would love to head to Zanzibar but my schedule will not allow it. Does anybody have any recommendations for the area?

It looks like I might be spending the last few nights of my trip in Zanzibar. Does anybody have any recommendations for hotels and dive boats?

Which price range (hotels) are you looking for? Town or beach?

hi am looking for approx $100/room traveling with 2 kids we are all divers. Any advise appreciated as to dive shops to handle kids (11 and 14 yrs), dive sites and preferably hotel.
