anyone looking to dive here in the next three days?

Im available Thursday and Friday and Wed night. What are your plans or were would you like to dive,. With 2ft in the BI sound predicted, Im may be game for a diving Safari to RI. I have an interview tomorrow so I can only dive late in the early evening.

Looks like I'm going camping on Friday. However, Thursday daytime is good for me. I'll go as far as Jamestown. In RI I've only done Ft Wetherill. If you are familiar with another place there in RI, I'm game. In Ct I've only been to Stonington and Portland. I'd rather not do Stonington.(not that they would let us anyway.)
As for tomorrow night, are you thinking of the Quarry ? I heard they're open on Wednesday nights with food?(potluck) I'm game for whichever spot you like and either day/night.

Thursday may be good for a deep dive around FT Wetherill Island and then to Beavertail thru the small canyons.

Thats what Ide like to do. Ill drop off a tank at OSS in Jamestown and pick it up for the Beavertail Dive.

Just one option as the ocean is forecast to be 2ft which is quite calm provided no ground swells are in.

The quarry night dive is $10 (pretty sure) I understand it's a pot luck deal as well. I may try to join you if you go.

Just let me know by 2pm today if youde like to dive RI tomorrow.
Beavertail may be doable and I see you are advanced and should be well in your ability.

The deepdive around the island requires a short snorkle.

Beavertail PL#2 requires a walk down a rocky embankment and thats when I use my tiny 72 with 14 lbs of weight.

I guess the quarry requires you to roll off the picnic bench into the water but and I may be game for that and a later dive Thursday so I can refill the tanks at Divers COVE AFTER 10 AM.

But I do need to know before 2pm today So I can make other plans.

If I dont hear from you, I'll assume youve got alternate plans set.

Scubasarus...I'm game for Jamestown tomorrow. What time are you looking to be there?

ED...it's been a long time...a little late but congrats on your bride and baby...Are you working for National Geographic yet? I've seen your photos lately...real nice.
I'd love to go there tonight but I won't get out of work early enough to make it there. It would take me a little more than 2 hours. Let me know next time.

Around 11 am all4scuba depending on traffic. If you want to dive tonight at Brownstone Ill be there (Jamestown) around 12:30 to 1 pm as I'll need refills in Essex.

My only concen with Brownstone is that the resevoir I bike to was clear Friday and is now cloudy as anything after the rains (just got back from it). Yesterday there was a nasty film on it but thats dissapated. Im wondering if the particles in the water has settled in the quarry.

I amwriting new shore diving book and would love to go thru the arch of the island to confirm its position and then down the cliff.

A crevas dive is also a possibility if Beavertail is out.
