Hi guys.
I recently returned from diving at Dahab and in Alexandria. I was interested as to whether people would be interested in a write up on the dive and dive company there? I am sure Dahab has been done to death, so I won't bother with that.:05:
Cheers
Paschen

Paschen,
Alex is not good for diving. People may tell you Cleopatra city and such stuff. It is a 6 meters dive, zero visibility, and nothing to see. Just some stones and jars. They may tell you the German wreck. Nothing to see there. Just a completely destroyed airoplane from WWII.
The only good site to dive in Alex is Napoleon fleet in Abu Keer. However, needs tons of permissions. Another problem is the absence of any reputable dive operator in Alex. The only one I know is called Alexandra, owned by Ashraf Sabri. They offer the worst service I've ever experienced. Take a look at this:

In case you dive Alex, please keep me informed how did it go.

As I said -" I recently returned from diving in Alex "- so I did dive there and was interested if ppl wanted to know what it was really like - and what the dive company was like. You are right about what there is to see - but I like insitu so some of it was great - and some was blah - but if you or others are interested I am happy to write up a review so others know just what they are in for if they do decide to go ahead. Thanks for the link - my experience was very different, though with some concerns.

Sorry paschen I didn't see that you've just returned from Alex so I wanted to shed lights on what could happen there. Could you please write up a review for that? Please include contacts and prices.

Thanks for sharing Tae, and sorry for the bad experience.
Actaully diving Alex is not diving Cleopatra palace and the sunken city. You should have considered diving the Napoleon fleet in Abu Keer.

Thanks for the trip report. I'm a history lover so I've always found the idea of this site appealing but I don't expect to ever go. Your report pretty much matched my assumptions on how it would go. If you add pictures, I'd love to see them.
