Diving in Acapulco?

I'm going to Acapulco in late January. I've "won" a business award trip there and will have plenty of leisure time for activities. I have searched the board for information on diving there, but have found very little.

Can anyone provide information on diving in Acapulco. Dive sites, operators and dive conditions. I want to dive, but am wondering if I should just find other activities while there. Thanks for any info.

Low viz, high bacterial counts, occasionally strong current & some very casual ops.

We dove there a few years ago when we were studying in Mexico. We did a shore dive and Vis wasn't very good. All in all not great diving. The dive operators were VERY nice and they tried to show us the best time they could, with the crappy conditions.

We're going to be there on a cruise and from the comments above, guess we won't be diving here.
