I spent a week in Cairns and then a week in Brisbane. While in Brisbane I contacted ScubaWorld to see about diving the HMAS Brisbane. When I asked them where they were located I thought he said about 200 meters from my hotel, then he said it was about a 2 hour drive. Then I realized he said 200 Kilometers.

No problem I had a rental car and said sign me up.

I arrived early and gathered the gear I hired from them and waited for everyone to arrive. I think we had about 12 total diving.

Upon descending to the ship my dive buddy keep pointing behind me. A large Cod was slowly approaching me. (photo enclosed)

The vis was ok 5-10 meters. The first dive was guided and took a little over 30 minutes. The second dive was with our dive buddy. I had a good time diving this ship. It sits in 27 meters and is easy to get around on.

There was plenty of light inside without a torch and vis was better inside.

I would recommend diving the HMAS Brisbane, contact ScubaWorld in Mooloolaba, Qld.

I would like to thank Steve and Donnie for their outstanding job in showing us the ship.
