Diving Higgins Lake

My son James and I will be heading up to Higgins Lake next week on Monday and staying through the next weekend, we will be leaving there on Sunday the 15th to head for home. I have tried to find out if you could still get air fills locally, my wife said the Air Shack was for sale when she was up there in early July. What is my next best option? Can I get air in Houghton somewhere?

I will be looking forward to doing some diving in the lake. Probably less than I would have liked as JP is bringing a friend who is a non diver. Depending on the air situation I would be up or would that be down for some diving about any day. The in-laws have a cabin in the Jackson VFW post section just outside of town. I think that my local LDS will be up there on Saturday morning/afternoon for a couple of dives. Ted I know you said you might be game, anyone else interested? I could give you my cell number if you wanted to try and get together on say Saturday for a couple of dives and air permitting maybe a night dive as I have gotten a new glow stick that I would like to evaluate underwater.

I miss read your first post last week and I didnt realize that it was next monday your heading up to Higgins Lake I will be in Traverse City Diving with Frankenmuth_Tom and Cldwtrdvr Dave the days of the 13th 14th and 15th I might depending on when I get out of Flint on Thursday be able to stop for a Thursday Dive. But I will be pulling my 5th wheel and I dont know where I could park it while diving. Sorry about the mis communication.

I'll be available the night of the 13th (All day meeting at work, so I actually get a real Friday night). The 14th/15th I will be at Gilboa.

I'll be diving TC on Sunday (as in the eighth), so I will miss GTXL, Tom, and Dave.
