Nice video Marty! Are you using the LCD-backpac ? - looks your not optimized on frameout on a couple of shots (the big squid), but overall well done.
Any sigths of the whale shark on the trip ?

No Whale sharks unfortunately there were a few around sighted by other groups in the time we were there but as they are completely wild its just pure luck if you see one. Not like the questionable ones in the other part of Philippines that is supposedly kept in the harbour by nets and other methods so I'd rather not see that one and encourage the practice.

I wasn't using the LCD as I had to try maximise my battery life over 3 dives a day, also the reason I didn't do any macro stuff as that really needs the LCD for Framing. The big cuttlefish was actually quite funny as I saw it from a bit of a distance. Dropped down behind it to get a shot and wasn't reaaly framing it yet just trying to get steady. Next thing I saw was a big puff of dust having not seen it take off. I then just shrugged the shoulders asking the others where it went lol. It had taken off down the hill and as we were already about to end the dive and I went beyond our set depth limit for the dive chasing it in the first place I couldn't really chase it down past 30m.

I added the shot even though its badly framed and a little shaky as I thought it was pretty cool how it just took off lol. Overall this wasn't my greatest camera work but I think it shows quite well how the hero 3 can do at up to 25m in decent vis tropical waters. Its always a little trickier I find on guided dives to setup shots as you need to keep swimming along to keep up with the group, also another reason for no macro attempts.
