I'm planning to go to Cozumel January 31, 2018 (Birthday present to myself) and stay for at least one week - maybe two. When is carnival? I don't dive with a wetsuit. Haven't been to Coz in Feb since the late 80's so I don't remember the need for one. I've somewhat outgrown my wetsuits. I'm not sure I can lose enough girth to fit in them by the first of Feb. Do I REALLY need one in February?
Any comments, suggestions appreciated.
Cheers - M²
Hey man, which OP will you be using? Asking because depending on the dive OP you use, the bottom time you spend on each dive may determine your personal tolerance level for the water temp, especially during their Winter months. I've only used Aldora, which offers its divers 70-95min per tank on HP 120cf steels. I'm a cold water diver and even in 79f waters I'll use a full 3mm with vest and sometimes hood due to the length of the dives.

I'm not sure what your personal body comp/type is but personal cold tolerance varies greatly. I'm a weight liter and avid fitness enthusiast so my cold tolerance may not be as good as it was a few years ago.
