Hi
Last year I had an Amplatzer Occluder treatment for ASD condition. I am planning to take up diving now and was just wondering if it would be a problem. Seeking views from anyone who have experienced this situation before.
Thanks.

It would be wise to seek the opinion of a cardiologist, but even wiser to seek a cardiologist who knows something about diving medicine. This is crucial, in my opinion.

There should be no problems for an ASD [ a family of heart disorders from which a PFO is a relative] after a well placed amplatzer occulder without leaks and the heart of said patient is in good shape from no other coexisting maladies.
