What is he dive shop at Malatapay Resort like?
I also found Kookoo's Nest, the beach looks better. Where is the better dive shop?
It seems that both resorts are small, thus maybe not enough divers.
Yours, Liberty

Sure, the post is almost 5 years but I'm hoping by now someone might have answers. :)

I'm planning a return trip to the PI in May 2012 and am considering returning to the Dauin area. The last 2X I stayed at El Dorado but the budget is tight so I'm looking for someplace more reasonable.

Has anyone stayed at either resort? Malatapy or Kookoo's Nest? Both of their websites are active so despite the age of the post, I'm guessing they're still in business.

TIA! :)

So instead of starting a new thread you drag this old thing up;-)

Try Mike's Dive Resort at Dauin. I dive at Mike's and stay next door in some bungalows that go for 950 php per night. Just fan and mosquito nets but they do have hot showers. I travel alone and I don't care to spend more than that for sleep and shower as I am on the dive boat or at the shop all day.

Hey Jbb,

What are the name of the bungalows? I am planning on diving at Mike's this coming March.

Cheers,
