I had my septo/rhinoplasty due to having broken the thing countless times boxing in highschool. I was sore for a month+.

Yup, but there's a big difference between a septoplasty and a septorhinoplasty. In a SR you are breaking and resetting the nasal bones, and possibly other things as well. Septoplasty is a much more limited operation...
