I'd like to get wet next weekend, either sat or sun, out of VA beach. Anyone up for a dive? Miss Lindsey is running if the weather cooperates, and I'd even make the drive to Rawlings or down to OBX if something closer to home was not an option.

Hi Rob, I sent you a PM & would think about Saturday & if the trip doesn't go possibly think about Rawlings. I think a few divers I know are thinking about Rawlings on Sunday.
But I can't do both & I prefer to jump off a boat.
OBDC in Nags Head does not have anything on schedule until May.

Don't know if this helps but I'll be at Rawlings the 12th and 13th diving with the wife while she gets certified. I hope the water is not too bad as we will diving wet...lol.

I hear you Rob about the boat. I'll sign up for the Sat trip at Lynnhaven. I'll do rawlings if the boat is a no go. I replied to your PM with a bunch of info about San Diego. Sadly, I'm more familiar with the diving there than here!

I may be up for Sunday, I'll send you a PM.

If not, the Flying Fish will be going out of Hatteras, NC that weekend. Outer Banks Diving

I am also headed to Hatteras the weekend of the 26th/27th.

Where's the Fish heading this weekend? We dove with Johnny last October & had a very good weekend of diving. We did the Abrahms & Dixie Arrow.
Would be better than what we were planning guys, what you think?
By the way my wife will be diving with us also, but no need to worry, she is a very good diver.

I would love to go down there to dive but we have already planned rawlings for the wife to get certified, maybe next time guys.

All things equal, my first choice would be Lynnhaven just to minimize travel time. I'd love to do hatteras but I can't do an overnighter this weekend and it is a bear of a drive there and back in one day....so I have to decline for hatteras this weekend. Will certainly be up for it later this summer. Might be a moot point since looking at the offshore forecast for both locations seas are 5-7 and 6-8 with a 40 percent chance of T-storms. It is early and things might change, but with the SCA's in place thru thursday and lumpy conditions all week, I don't have high hopes for a boat trip. In that case I will head to Rawlings if nothing else. I'll keep an eye on the weather and let everyone know thursday. I guess that is April diving, huh?

Yea, the weather Gods are not being very kind to us hard core divers who believe in diving year round.
Hatteras is not that bad of a drive & dive daily trip. I leave at 4am & get back home by 7pm. Long day, sure, but worth it, hell yes.
