Anyone interested in diving this weekend? I'm new to the Tampa area and would like to find a buddy for some fairly local diving. I'm up for Venice beach, any of the nearby springs/rivers, or other easy dive. I'm especially interested in fossil diving.

Thanks,
Brian

My girlfriend's brother-in-law cancelled the boat trip for Sunday, so it looks like I'll be going. If you want to do Sunday at Venice, let me know.

I'll be in Inverness this weekend (~2.5 hours away, closer than Jax) and I could do a Sunday dive. I signed up for a drift dive in Rainbow River on Saturday at 1pm, but if you want to get together on Saturday, a shore dive at Venice would be easier on my wallet. I need to know by tomorrow though to cancel. Or if you want, we can get together for the Rainbow River dive on Saturday and meet with ReefGuy on Sunday. I believe Rainbow River has some artifacts/fossils in it; I'd have to search the board again to find out. Either way, I'm up for it.

Reefguy, sorry to hear that your boat dive fell through, but I'm game for Sunday. At the Alhambra site again? I'll bring some drinks and snacks.

Phree337, are you up for a Sunday dive at Venice?

Brian

Count me in for Sunday. What time do you want to meet?

I usually try to be there around 9 and in the water by 9:30. Alhambra's good for me :D

I should be at the site just a few minutes after 9:00 but can we tentatively push back the dive start to about 10:00 A.M. in case I get hung up at the shop?

They open at 9:00 and are about 1.5 miles from the dive site. I'll call them Saturday and have them set the equipment aside for pick-up as soon as they open Sunday.

Brian

10 is fine with me. I'll be there around 9 and hang out until everyone gets there or 10, whichever is first.
