I have searched around on the board regarding any experience with this company and havent managed to find anything. I was wondering what others had found with them. Below is my current dealing with them.

After my experience with LP in the past i was wary again regarding internet sales. I searched around for some Suunto Vypers online to see what prices compared to the LDS that had quoted $450, i found many offering these computers, but only two, Diver's Wholesale (DW) and Sports Extreme (somewhere in northern Europe), that offered them at a good price with manufacturers warranty. The price was comparable with LP and others who offered their own warranty and were mostly based out of the US, and at least $100 less (inc shipping) per computer than the LDS price who has a dealership thing going at on 10% less than MSRP. So i went ahead and set up an order for them last monday (3/15) and hoped with express delivery that they would get here on the friday - which is a fair time frame. I was told the next day (closed mondays) that they didnt have any in stock and would get their order in on thursday to ship either that night or on friday - ok not their fault, was told they would be here on wednesday (currently tomorrow 3/24). I phoned today to check up on this and get a tracking number so that i could check on its whereabouts to be told that due to creditcard problems with other buyers, that they missed the deadline of sending out stuff on friday (i call BS on this), so they were sending it out today and i might get it this friday, but more likely next monday/tuesday. I protest at this and am told that i can get 3 day delivery for an extra $40 (cutting into my "savings" over the LDS price) to get them here by friday. Needless to say i am not best pleased and protested some more about their problem and i had wanted them last friday and accepted tomorrow as a deadline, but next week??? So needless to say, nothing happened, no faster shipping method was offered or other refund. As usual i only spoke with a shop person and not a manager, but serious i did consider just forgetting the whole order. At least one day i will get the computers, that is the silver lining and i will save some cash, but not without hassle and being without them for a few weeks i had intended using them during.

Well again this has left a bitter taste in my mouth about internet buying. I thought i was getting a good thing with wholesale pricing and a warranty, but again smacked my head and thought, why!!!! Oh well another one chalked up to experience i guess.

Anyone else had good or bad service from DW? I havent heard as much about this place as LP, diveinn and scubatoys (not all the same kind of online store), but thought they were going to give me the kind of service i asked for.

i bought a few wetsuits from them......it did take longer then i thought and they turned out to be out of stock of one of them which delayed the order. However when i talked to the manager abou this and that i was unhappy he said they would sorry and paided something like $70.00 to express ship it.

If you need the item really quick i would not order from them...if you have a week or so to spare they have great prices......remember they are in canada so it takes longer to ship to the US

Don't know why this thread doens't show up in the search function, but I'm still subscribed to it.

Anyways, I'm definitely going to be buying from them. Well...especially for me shipping's not an issue cus it's not that far away from me. If you want to call them, use that toll free number (the 877 one). They sell stuff that is not listed on their website as well, you just have to ask them. Things like tanks though, they suggest not to get them shipped cus it would be crazy for shipping costs. For me the Suunto Vyper (which I plan to buy soon) will be cheaper to buy from them and pick it up, than to buy from LP and get it shipped. Plus, apparently they have warrenty on all that they sell.

That's my "feel" so far from them...They've answered my e-mails and were extremely helpful on the phone. I personally won't ever have the trouble of shipping with them, and I don't think anyone around here would get them to ship anything, so I wouldn't have comments on that. As far as local service goes, I haven't heard of any problems.

Once I visit them and get more of a feel for the shop, I'll post my comments on the board.

As good as the prices are, if you dont live in the BC area then shipping can be a trouble. I just thought they didnt handle my case all that well for a $700 purchase. I am just waiting to see how long it will take and hope that i get them some time soon!

Maybe i should have searched for "diverswholesale" and not just "divers wholesale"!!

Ok, well i have just checked tracking and it looks like they should get here tomorrow, lets hope in good condition! That is 16 days after i ordered them, granted some of that was their supply being out, but also their fault for not shipping them for 5 days after they got them in. Thank goodness it was cheaper than my LDS's in town! (Silver lining)

Finally got the computers, will play with them tonight. It only took 16 days from ordering to receive them AND i find that they didnt stamp the warranty card, so i'm sending that card back to them to stamp and send on to the warranty place and hopefully that should get it sorted out finally. Its been an arduous process to get these computers here!!
