DELAWARE: Coast Guard recovers missing divers alive
Staff report

ATLANTIC CITY – The Coast Guard in Atlantic City sent a helicopter to search for two divers who failed to surface. The divers have been recovered alive. A Coast Guard spokesman says the two men were expected to return to their boat before 12:30 p.m.

When they didn't, a third person on the boat reported them missing around 1 p.m.

The boat was about 35 miles east of the Indian River Bay in Delaware.

More information is to come, check Delmarvanow.com later for more details.

This is all I have on this. Not sure of the details but figured I would post and see if anyone else knows about this.

Wow! hadn't even heard about this one till now.

Much better alive than dead!... so they had a bit more adventure than they expected.

They were fine. THEY were tied off to the wreck when they surfaced. Unfortunately, the boat was gone!

What happened to their boat?

This happened to my dive instructor. The boat tied itself to the wreck, and the wreck broke and the boat drifted away. A while later they noticed that there were no bubbles comming up and they motored back to get the divers. (short version of story)
