Hi guys, i dive in South Florida, warm water and i use steel high pressure 120's and would like to know if 30lbs of lift is sufficient for my tanks, im thinking of diverite transpac and need a good wing, i do travel so im thinking of the nice streamlined Travel wing, this has 30lbs of lift, you think this is enough? thanks all.

Depends on the amount of lead you need.......

But around 30 lbs for warm water diving should be OK........

The wing needs to be able to float the full rig on the surface without you in it, so..........

-11 lbs for the full tank (XS-120 HP), -2 for the BC (this might be off, as I am not sure about the TransPac), -2 for the reg, and assume 10 lbs of lead for you, totals -25 lbs........30 lbs wing is OK........

Now you clip on a can light, a pony bottle and you use a little more lead, then the 30 lb wing will not be big enough.......

My travel rig as an AL BP/W and Oxy 18 lb wing......since rentals are typically AL 80 tanks......and I wanted the very smallest for travel.......

Hope this helps......M

I comfortably dove a LP-120 (9.5lbs negative normal fill, these were a bit heavier with some extra gas) wearing a 26 lb wing. That was with a can light,2 regulators (H-valve) and a couple reels. I had no need for weight with a 5mil on.

Unless you are still a pretty new diver, or tending toward the buoyant side, I can not imagine you needing anything like 10lbs of weight in South Florida with that tank. There is a pretty good chance you will not need any at all.

I think the 30lb wing will be fine.

Yes, i only dive with 4 pounds here, dont need much more than that with the steel 120's. I dont carry alot of gear except a 19 and occasionaly a 30 pony tanks, i will call dive rite to ask, thanks all.
