I went with the transplate and venture wing several months ago and haven't regretted it yet. As a matter of fact, I love it! I believe the venture wing to be more hardy than the travel wing. As for the pockets on the harness, you will have room for a small one if you get the SMALLER dive rite weight pockets. MOST divers don't need the larger weight pockets (especially with a SS plate) and man are those things HUGE. Plus, the smaller weight pouches can be used as pockets if needed. My guess is your need for a pocket is over rated. You may find that with a BP/W clipping things off is much easier for lights, and things, IMHO anyway. Good luck! DSAO!
