Search for missing Motunau Island diver | Stuff.co.nz

A search is underway for a diver missing in North Canterbury waters. The woman was last seen about five kilometres off Motunau Island, where she had been diving from a boat, a police spokeswoman said.
Police were alerted to the missing diver just after 10am.
A Westpac Rescue Helicopter was searching from the air, supported by several coastguard vessels on the water, she said.
Someone the woman was with on the boat had raised the alarm.
Motunau Island sits about a kilometre offshore from Motunau Beach, between Christchurch and Kaikoura
The search is ongoing.
