One of my co-workers has jut informed me that a diver was just hit by a boat,, He doesnt know any more than that it was a 24 year old male ..Anyone have more info???

Just got more info..Apparently the diver was found dead in Lake Rosseau in Muskoka last night..An autopsy has revealed that he was hit by aboat propeller..OPP have not located the boat.. more info on V.R News website

Do you know if there was a dive flag out or was this person diving without one?

It's horrible to think of anyone being killed that way. Wish we had more details. Who this person is and the details of the accident.

Wow that sucks. I wonder if the people that hit him even know they did. They might have thought it was a log or something in the water. :(

My thoughts go out to his family.

I wonder if he was diving alone as well. So many questions. I guess we will have to wait for the reports to come out. I feel so sorry for his family. We just have to wait and wonder.

ya he shouldn't have been diving alone..

We don't know if he was. We just have to wait and see what the reports say. If he was alone that's not good but if he was diving with someone else then they are looking at finding the person be it above or below the water. We have to wait.

All,

My condolences to this man's family in this time of crisis.

Now it seems even more appropriate.

Safe Dives,

Boat Propeller Kills Diver

It appears a scuba diver found dead in a Muskoka lake was hit by a boat propeller. 24-year old Kyle Quinn was found floating in Lake Rosseau Tuesday night. An autopsy showed he suffered fatal injuries that were consistent with being struck by a propeller on a boat. The vessel has not yet been located or identified. Now, police want to talk to anyone who was in a boat on Lake Rosseau Tuesday evening between 5 and 7 pm.

If you have any information, you're asked to call Bracebridge OPP at 705-645-2211
