Yes :( like WP not well but I have met her at a work function and had a short chat with her while getting an airfill one day..she seemed like a lovely smiley happy soul. I read it that she was at or near the surface probably doing her safety stop but no one knows yet other than her dive partner and the guys who bravely put their boat between her buddy and the shark. That is purely conjecture and where I feel the least comfortable in Perth waters. Incredibly sad seeing the footage of her husband sitting at the scene.

So it was indeed near the surface.

I remember reading posts from Red Sea dive professionals years ago, back when they had a series of oceanic white tip attacks. They talked about starting and finishing the dives was when they worried about the sharks. t sounds terrible.
