Ok, so google gave me a bad article. He was a swimmer, not a scuba diver.

Westpac rescue chopper flies to Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park

A scuba diver is in hospital in a critical condition after being pulled from the water at a remote beach.

A scuba diver is in hospital in a critical condition after being pulled from the water at a remote beach.
Bystanders at Flint and Steel Beach at Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park north of Sydney performed CPR on the man and dialled triple-zero, triggering an extensive and complex emergency response across Saturday afternoon.

NSW Ambulance crews, the Westpac rescue helicopter, Rural Fire and Fire and Rescue and NSW Police crews raced to the scene just after 2pm, a NSW Ambulance spokeswoman told NewsWire.

The man, aged in his 40s, was put onto a Rural Fire Service boat and transported to a port, where an ambulance crew then took him by road to Northern Beaches Hospital in a critical condition.

He arrived at the hospital just before 5pm, the spokeswoman said.

A NSWFR spokesman told NewsWire six firefighters assisted, including a specialist rescue team

@DandyDon is so quick to post a dive accident/fatality as soon as he finds it that he doesn't always get it right. Perhaps taking a bit of time after spending countless hours scouring the internet for dive fatalities to get the facts in order prior to posting may be in order. Just a thought, take it or leave it.

Very much doubt it is a scuba diving accident as no one would dive there. Sounds like a swimming accident.

Yeah, it seems that google gave me an erroneous version. I'm sure that LI-er could do better investigative work. 🤣

Diving accidents and fatalities don't interest me nearly so much as they do you.
