I don't quite get the "300 ft" depth estimate. How far offshore would that have to be? At that rate, the boat could not have been anchored. I wonder how deep the water was where the lobster trap bouy (I'm not sure what that means - a float?) was set.

Still, an amazing survival story!

Humble & confident!

That's what I want to be when I'm still diving at 80!! Fantastic! This man KNEW he could swim the 10 miles to shore. He had already swam 6 of them when picked up. Then he has a resting heartbeat of 56! I'll bet he would've done the last four and then walked to his vehicle. Truly amazing.
