Dear everyone,

I am looking for a good place to do my dive master certification. In fact, I am already in Labuanbajo, Flores, since I wanted to do the course in the famous Komodo National Park. Unfortunately, I feel very uncomfortable in Labuanbajo and do not see myself spending here such a long time. People who have been here will understand.

I already have the crewpack and would like to start the course as soon as possible. I was thinking about Gili T in Indonesia or Tioman in Malaysia. Thailand won't really work due to monsoon. I would like a place with good diving (more important) and a decent town/island to stay during the course. Having a nice beach to relax after the diving would be great. I would like to do the course in 6-8 weeks. I am more interested in big stuff and less in macro.

I would prefer to stick to Indonesia/ Malaysia, since I am already here and would not want to pay for another return flight to Philippines, if possible.

Have a look at Two Fish Divers. They are in several places in Indonesia, including Bunaken, Lembeh and Nusa Lembongan. I did my DM there and split it between Lembeh and Bunaken (both Sulawesi).
Another alternative is Scuba Junkie at Mabul - if you are younger (20-30 years) this is a good option too.

Shops in Singapore as well. Good "town" for sure. Not sure about the local diving though.
