divemaster in Sipadan

Yeat another divemaster question. :huh: I did search and did not find the information that I was looking for so here goes.

I am currently in Tailand and want to do a divemaster course. I have no interest to do it in Koh Tao nor Pattaya since these places are not apealing to me. I met a man who had done his divemaster course with scuba junkies in Semporna. He couldn't praise them enaugh and said that if I was serious about getting my divemaster sertification I should go there. Top diving and a good dive operator. Now I've sent a request to scuba junkies but they haven't replied. Granted I only sent it the day before yesterday so I'm giving them a day more to reply but I wanted to know if anyone here had done a divemaster course in Semporna and with what dive operator and how was their experience.

Sorry, I took mine in Singapore which I am sure is not appealing to you. Having said that - you're in Asia now. Lots of things may take longer than you are used to. More than two days for an e-mail reply from a scuba shop isn't too unusual. Good luck with your seach anyway. Doing it around Sipadan would be cool.

Consider North Borneo Dive & Sea. Jerry (I assume to be the owner) gives excellent customer service and turns his emails around extremely fast. They have a busy operation with nice boats and gear. The DM I had with them was one of the best I have had- he really did a great job. It is also a fun and social operation. They hold amazing BBQ buffets every other night that are often attended by more than 20 people.
