Hi guys and gals, I have been away from diving for a while and my Divemaster rating expired in 2000, what do I need to do to get it current again???

You dont mention which agency you qualified as DM with. The following is from the PADI Instructor Manual. After they talk about the normal annual renewal application and dues, they say:
A PADI Divemaster whose membership has lapsed may also need to meet additional requirements designated by the PADI Training and Quality Management Department to regain Active status. The requirements may vary depending on how long since the divemasters last renewed membership, changes to the PADI System and Standards during that interval, and other factors.
You might want to contact your local dive shop, or your agency directly.
