Question for new divemasters (PADI). How long did it take for you to get your card?

Mailed my form in 3 weeks ago. Just wondering how long it takes? My LDS said usually 2-3 weeks.

I'm impatient, huh?

I know the feeling! It was about four weeks for me. I called PADI after three weeks and they confirmed my membership and gave me my member number. A week later I got my card.

My LDS sends in certification information electronicly. It usually takes me about a week to get a card now...

I don't remember but I wouldn't worry about it until it's been 6 weeks.

It can take awhile, Feel free to call PADI Member Services and ask for a status. or Email Anna she's always been really helpful annab@padi.com..

That is pretty funny, because I keep checking to see if the fee has been drawn from the bank yet, then I would know the card would be on the way.

They aren't in any hurry to take my money, it seems!

I understand your stress. As hard as you worked to get it right now seems like too long a wait! It will come and you will and should be proud of it! Congratulations!

Mine took about 2 months, but ours have to come from Australia, and there is probably an extra delay

Congrats on the DM cert!

Mine took a long time coming (1 month plus), but I found that by calling PADI and getting my certification number I was good to go. The actual card is less of a requirement than knowing that PADI issued the certification (and it's a good idea to write the number down in your logbook regardless).
