At Diveheart we focus on an individual's abilities and not disabilities. It's more useful to know what a person can do, as apposed to what they can't do. This positive, empathetic and compassionate approach to identifying an individual's abilities reassures the individual that we are focusing on the enabling aspects of their "new normal" or inherent abilities. In Diveheart training, we endeavor to teach our adaptive instructors and buddies to utilize available "People First" tools that will address and respect the dignity that the adaptive diver or individual with a disability deserves. We wanted to share this important information below with you as a powerful tool that you can use to improve a persons quality of life as you interact with children, veterans and other people of ALL Abilities. hashtag #etiquette hashtag #disabilities hashtag #cerebralpalsy hashtag #training hashtag#enablement hashtag #diveheart hashtag #adaptivesports
