It looks like something my 3 year old niece would play with...
Here's my thoughts:
Does the same job as a finger reel.
Costs more than a finger reel.
Much more likely to snaggle/bird's nest than a finger reel.
Enclosed spool... how can you fix it on the dive if it turns into a birds' nest?
Enclosed spool... how can you tell the line is un-impeded before releasing a DSMB?
Would I buy one?
Not a chance.
