I just joined the site because I was looking for a dive watch and figured out there's more to be found than just that. :)

So hi everyone!! :)

To be on subject, does anyone know of a list of divewatches with built-in depth gauge and optionally logbook (can be small). I would prefer an analog/digital mix. It seems most of the watches/gauges I see are full digital like the suuntos.

Something more like the Tissot sea-touch but from what I read and see I'm not convinced that's a real dive watch.

Any links or experiences?

TIA

Check out the Citizen Aqualand range. Personally I find the digital display a bit small and the analogue depth reading too vague, but they do have the features you're looking for... you can find them on eBay

I have an older Aqualand that is just analogue (depth/time) and I like it a lot - they're reliable, accurate and you can still get parts/support for discontinued models (like mine) direct from Citizen

Thanks Tortuga, but it looks a bit too much like a dive computer. I want something inconspicuous. A watch which looks like a normal dive watch, but with built-in dive computer or depth gauge only.

Roxanne, I know, but since I had to post an introducionary message I though I might as well ask something useful :)

I'll keep looking under the gear sections.

Both my wife and I use these:

If I had to replace them, I'd buy them again.

When I started diving I didn't have a computer, I used a Citizen Aqualand, which includes all you are mentioning plus fast ascent alarm (good feature). It is a really good watch, but of course is just a gauge with a PC interface.

Welcome to the board!

Thanks Tortuga, but it looks a bit too much like a dive computer

Really?

citizen aqualand - Google Search

This is the model I have (without the gold trim), looks like a dive watch to me:

It does depth, time, max depth, depth alarm, max depth alarm, ascent rate alarm. No log book though, just last dive
